Ruthie's Designs Longarm Quilting

Pricing depends upon the type of quilting to be done and the size of your quilt.

I realize that not everyone wants to enter her quilt in a show.  Most of you just want to have your quilt finished.  Most longarm quilters charge by the square inch.  I charge by the size of the quilt.  In this way those who just want to finish their quilts for a reasonable cost have the ability to do so. 

You will, however, need to find the area of your quilt top in square inches. To find the square inches of your quilt top, measure the width by the length.  That number will be the area of your quilt in square inches.  Then find the size of your quilt top at the bottom of this page.

This will give you the cost of the quilting for your quilt. 

You may purchase batting from me instead of buying your own batting.  I use Hobb's 80/20 and it is $8.00 per yard.

Please be sure to have your quilt top squared up, pressed and all of the loose threads clipped.

Your backing should also be squared up, pressed and needs to be at least 5 inches larger than your quilt top on all sides.  Your batting needs to be at least three inches larger than your quilt top.  Most commercial battings will give the size and measurements on the bag.

Once you have all of your measurements, print the form on the form page, fill it out and call or email me for a quote.  I will give you a quote and then you send the form along with the quilt top, backing and batting (unless you buy batting from me), to me.  Be sure to let me know if you want shipping insurance on your finished quilt and how much as it will be added to the total price of the quilting.

I do custom quilting as well.  Please contact me for an estimate.

Normally the cost will be approximately double the cost of quilting for a pantograph, but that will depend upon the complexity of the quilting you want.
